Volunteer Driving Supervisor
Maribyrnong City Council is currently seeking volunteers for the L2P program to support young people to gain their driver's licence.
The L2P program is supported by Maribyrnong City Council and Vic Roads, to assist young people in the local community who need help in gaining safe driving practice to get their licence. You will be able to mentor a young learner driver as they develop skills they will use for the rest of their life. You will also be helping to make our roads safer.
A minimum of 1.5 hours a week commitment is required with a car, flexible roster and full training provided. Learner drivers will also receive professional driving instruction before being paired with a volunteer supervising driver.
All volunteers must have a current Victorian Driver's Licence, a good driving record and will be required to undergo a Police Check and Working with Children Check.
We are an equal opportunity employer and embrace diversity. Council encourages young people, people with disability, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and people from culturally diverse backgrounds to apply.
