Volunteer Driving Supervisors

Reference: 3999941

Maribyrnong City Council is currently seeking volunteer mentors to support young people under 21 years of age in gaining their driver's licence as part of the Wheels in the West program.

Mentoring disadvantaged young people will be a rewarding experience. You will be able to mentor a young learner driver as they develop skills they will use for the rest of their life. You will also be helping to make our roads safer.

Only a minimum of 1.5 hours a week is required with a flexible roster and all training is provided. Learner drivers receive professional driving instruction before being paired with a volunteer supervising driver.

All volunteers must have a current Victorian drivers licence, a good driving record and will be required to undergo a Police Check and Working with Children Check.

We are an equal opportunity employer and embrace diversity. Council encourages young people, people with disability, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and people from culturally diverse backgrounds to apply.
