Team Leader Arboriculture

Band 5 ($70,027-$80,120) plus 9.5% Super

9 day fortnight (RDO)

Maribyrnong City Council is undergoing significant change in population growth, redevelopment, gentrification, and a transitioning economy is leading to an influx of new residents, businesses and opportunities.

The Operations and Maintenance Department's tree maintenance team seeks a highly motivated Qualified Supervisory Arborist to join the team responsible for Council's street and open space trees.

This key leadership role leads a multi-skilled team, so your strong communication skills and proven experience in leading teams will give you the ability to develop, motivate and coach potential from within

You will have as a minimum, a Cert III in Arboriculture, a heavy rigid truck licence and a minimum of three years' experience in the industry. You will have the required tickets and competencies to allow you to prune trees around powerlines in a sustainable manner along with an enthusiastic and energetic approach

You will have a strong commitment to occupational health and safety and excellent customer service skills, which will ensure success in this key leadership role.
