Coordinator Information Management

Maribyrnong City Council is undergoing significant change in population growth, redevelopment, and a transitioning economy is leading to an influx of new residents, businesses and opportunities. Maribyrnong is becoming a sought after residential area and a destination for foodies.

The Information Technology Services Department is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Information Management Coordinator.

This key role is responsible for the provision of corporate records management, information management and mail services for the whole of Maribyrnong City Council. The incumbent will also provide strategic direction and operational advice to Council regarding information management issues.

You must have expert knowledge in managing records in accordance with legislative requirements and in applying best practice in a digital environment with a comprehensive understanding of Electronic Document Management Systems, including Content Manager 9.

This is an ideal role for a high quality customer focused individual with sound communication skills, and ability to clearly communicate with customers of varied competencies and diversity.

You will possess substantial experience leading a records and information management environment, with staff supervision responsibilities. A sound understanding in the use of technology; particularly Microsoft Office and Records Management software together with relevant tertiary qualifications and/or lesser formal qualifications. Recent experience working with legislation and regulations relating to records management, public recordkeeping and information privacy are essential for you to be successful in this role.
