Planning Support Officer

Band 4 ($64,135 pro-rata) plus 9.5% Super

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Planning Support Officer to join our City Planning Team. Reporting to the Coordinator City Planning, you will provide excellent customer service both over the telephone and in person to a range of internal and external stakeholders in addition to providing administrative support to the wider City Planning team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Professionally and efficiently respond to customer service enquires at the public counter, via telephone or by correspondence, providing accurate information regarding all matters relating to the City Planning Department;
  • Undertake administrative tasks involved in processing planning applications and provide support to the City Planning Department, as required;
  • Prompt lodgment of all applications, objections and general queries within a specified timeframe;
  • Manage Council files, including file creation, scanning documents, filing, retrieval, ongoing maintenance and uploading on TRIM (electronic document manager).
