Maribyrnong Libraries aims to provide welcoming, progressive libraries which inspire connection, learning and creativity. We are seeking a dynamic leader to help us grow our audience and membership, and to maximise the value we deliver for our community through thoughtful and impactful programming.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver effective marketing and communications working closely with Council's Customer Engagement Department
  • Manage brand strategy for Maribyrnong Libraries with a focus on member acquisition and retention
  • Oversee collaborative frameworks for programming and outreach that balance resourcing with community need, staff engagement and innovation

About You

You are motivated and creative with strong relationship building skills and a commitment to data-driven decision-making.

To be considered for this role, you will have the following:

  • Qualifications or significant experience in marketing and communications
  • An understanding of the role of public libraries in communities
  • Leadership experience including the ability to support staff through change
  • Experience planning and delivering projects to time, quality and budget expectations
