The Opportunity
We're looking for a proactive Fleet and Cleansing Coordinator to take ownership of our fleet and cleansing operations, keep the show on the road and the presentation of the city a focus. About the Role
You'll oversee maintenance, compliance, safety, procurement, and day‑to‑day operations of fleet and cleansing teams to ensure we deliver exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the Fleet and Cleansing teams to drive productivity, safety, teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Establish, implement and ensure delivery of Council's Fleet and Cleansing services are in line with organisational plans, are compliant and follows industry's best practices.
- Coordinate Council's Fleet audit process, provide recommendations when required and introduce measures to optimise fleet operation.
- Manage contract and procurement processes for both Fleet and Cleansing service areas.
- Oversee and manage the Council's budget as it relates to Cleansing and Fleet. This includes ensuring Fleet procurement and Cleansing contracts are within scope and executed.
- Effectively lead, supervise and manage the operations of the Cleansing and Fleet teams to ensure the business plan, service standards, budgets, specifications and integrated management system outcomes are achieved using continuous improvement principles.
- Ensure continuous improvement workplace practices and system improvements are reviewed and updated as required.
To be considered for this role, you will have the following:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Business Management, Fleet Management and/or related fields, along with several years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience supervising in municipal operations in particular Fleet services functions.
- Valid Working with Children Check
- No relevant criminal record found in a police check.
