The Opportunity
The Council's Assets and Capital Department is seeking an experienced, driven, and innovative Senior Project Manager to help us turn our goals into deliverables. As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for assisting in planning and managing the delivery of open space and public realm projects, in accordance with Council's Project Management Framework and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Project manage the delivery of open space and public realm improvements for the Maribyrnong community
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the projects delivered are fit for purpose and are of a high quality
- Champion, and contribute to, the continuing improvement of Councils Project Management Framework and supporting systems.
About You
To be considered for this role, you will have the following:
- A tertiary qualification in Project Management, Landscape Architecture, Open Space, Construction, or other related discipline.
- Significant experience project managing a diverse range of open space and public environments through design, construction and contractor management.
- Strong understanding of best practise contracting and tendering processes, Australian construction standards, codes of practise and relevant legislation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders in a complex public sector environment.
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently on multiple projects and work sites.
- Valid Working with Children Check
- No relevant criminal record found in a police check.
